Welcome home! That’s exactly how we want you to feel when you experience Mama Sol’s Soul Food. Our recipes aren’t just meals—they’re a legacy, personally curated and passed down through generations of home-style Southern chefs.
Originally from North Carolina, owner and operator Romallus Dew grew up in a home where love was expressed through service and soul-warming food. As the seventh of nine children, he learned early on the power of a good meal to bring people together. Later, in college, he saw firsthand how a hot plate and a kind smile could restore the spirit just as much as the body.
At Mama Sol’s, we are deeply committed to quality. We source fresh, local ingredients—like farm-grown sweet potatoes, rich cheeses, and premium oxtails—to create meals that taste like home, no matter where you are.
This is a family-run business in every sense. Romallus’ wife, Stephanie, is a nursing student at ACC, dedicating her life to healing while also serving as our Hospitality Manager. And at the heart of it all is our daughter, Soleila Ray—the inspiration behind our name. We believe she is called to spread God’s love and light, and we begin acting on that promise with every plate we serve.
